THE HISTORY AND MEANING OF THE LESBIAN SYMBOL

The lesbian symbol’s origin is relatively new , emerging in response to the dominance of the rainbow banner within the broader LGBTQ+ movement . Initially, designers felt that the rainbow standard didn't adequately acknowledge lesbian experiences and identities. In 1999, Denise Lyon designed a fl
